Secure DisGard™ to surface, such as the patient's drape by removing the small peel off patch on the base to reveal an adhesive pad. Apply firm downward pressure to affix DisGard™ to the surface.
Remove paper strip covering the yellow foam pad to reveal adhesive surface.
DisGard™ is now ready to receive sharps.
Place disgarded sharps onto the yellow area of the pad using the appropriate instrument.
The procedure complete, fold lid over at the hinge and seal. The sharps remain visible for counting.
Dispose of the DisGard™ in the appropriate manner.
